Event in Manaus marks the beginning of a new era in firefighting with UAVI's exclusive, national technology
Manaus, May 13, 2025 – The history of Brazilian public security gained a new chapter this week.
In an official ceremony held at the headquarters of the Amazonas Military Fire Department (CBMAM), with the presence of Governor Wilson Lima, UAVI delivered the Brazil's first firefighting drone, the model UAVI100, national technology developed in São José dos Campos (SP).
The unique equipment is capable of dropping a column of water with high precision directly onto fires, reaching hard-to-reach areas and increasing the efficiency of firefighting operations. Capable of carrying up to 150 kg and operating at a height of 30 meters, the drone is guided by trained military personnel wearing virtual reality headsets. "The drone can climb and transport 90 kg of weight up to 30 meters in height. That's a very powerful column of water," highlighted the Fire Department's general commander, Colonel Orleilso Muniz.
Technological innovation in the heart of Brazil
Delivery is part of the implementation of Integrated Firefighting and Civil Protection Groups (GCIP) in 16 cities across the state, an initiative that also includes the distribution of large vehicles and specialized equipment. According to Governor Wilson Lima, "It's an unprecedented technology that will help combat fires in the state, focusing on strengthening our efforts to combat wildfires."
Present at the event, UAVI CEO, Victor Mascarenhas, celebrated the milestone as a watershed moment for the industry: "Today, we're not just delivering a drone. We're delivering a national, intelligent, and efficient solution to protect lives and the environment."
Accompanied by Lead Engineer Arthur Gomes, which conducted training and operational tests with firefighters, the UAVI team also coordinated the technical training of the first official drone operators, making Amazonas the pioneering state in this technology.
